Air Jordan 4 Retro Off-White Sail (W) delivers a subdued take on the classic silhouette. The deconstructed leather build is rendered in a monochromatic Off-White finish, complete with semi-translucent TPU detailing on the molded eyelets, structural ‘wings’ and Nike Air-branded heel panel. Abloh’s signature flourishes include a tonal zip tie and ‘AIR’ printed above the visible Air sole unit.
The overall off-white main tone is both versatile and suitable for summer. The suede upper reflects the sense of high quality and looks quite soft at the same time.
Although the appearance is not much different from the traditional Air Jordan 4, the details are quite innovative.
A large area of transparent material is added to the shoe body. The shoelace buckle, breathable mesh, and heel decorative pieces originally made of rubber are replaced with transparent rubber to create a rich layering.
The Jumpman Logo on the tongue is also covered with cicada wings.
The upper design is also unique. The outer leather is separated from the inner lining padding, continuing the consistent deconstruction style.
